Colorado natives, Loredana & Jay, have been involved with farmers' markets for over 20 years. They believe that markets are important in eating healthier and helping our local economy.
It is not necessarily less expensive to shop at farmers' markets, but we know not supporting them could be. Farmers' markets are creating a healthier local economy and have revived a new entrepreneurial culture.
By helping the people and the farmers join hands, again, at farmers' markets, they have given a place where the local community can reconnect with their roots and get back in touch with the farmers who grow their food.
They have made the farmers' market a community meeting place where kids and the elderly can ride the train together for fun or as a shuttle to their vehicle with fresh produce. And, knowing there are young adults that need a sense of belonging they thought of youth booths to build future entrepreneurs and leaders.
They have hula hoops of every size and a community ping pong table for everyone to get to know each other and laugh because they believe laughter is just as important as farm fresh food.
