Brick Town The People's Market is a vibrant and inclusive event that takes place every weekend in the heart of Oakland. This bustling market is filled with talented local artisans and creators from diverse backgrounds, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+. They come together to showcase and sell their unique handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, and other one-of-a-kind items.

At Brick Town, you'll find a wide variety of goods from BIPOC artisans, ranging from food items like fresh pastries and locally-made jams to beautifully crafted jewelry and apparel. Located in East Oakland at a historic building, The Cotton Mill, renamed The Loom, this event will serve as an introduction to The Bay’s only indoor/outdoor community marketplace.  In the spirit of community, collaboration, and abundance, we are thrilled to partner with Black Joy Parade to host our first night market to be held on February 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM at Agency, 2150 Livingston St, Oakland.  In partnership with Black Joy Parade and in recognition of Black History Month,  this market will focus on  “Black Joy and Wellness.” We are preparing to host 29 vendors in the Agency Oakland indoor market space and an additional 70 vendors in our outdoor market area. Along with an array of vendors, offering unique wares, and delicious cuisine, guests will enjoy musical performances from some of Oakland's most renowned performers and DJs, as well as workshops and speaker panels on Black Joy and Wellness.

This is our biggest market to date and it is an exclusive kickoff party to the Black Joy Parade on Sunday! Come celebrate with us!
