Saugerties Farmers Market
Farmers Market
The Saugerties Farmers Market was established in 2001 by a group of Saugerties residents to bring fresh food from local farms to market. With the support of the Mayor, Village Board, and local businesses, the market was set up at Market and Main Streets and subsequently moved to its current larger site at 115 Main Street.
Just a few blocks from the business district, the market overlooks the Cowflop, a spacious green meadow with Catskill mountain views and is next to the Saugerties Historical Society’s Kiersted House.
The Saugerties Farmers Market provides the best of Hudson Valley produce, and other farm and locally made products while at the same time providing a gathering place for the community to meet, eat, and greet.
The mission of the Saugerties Farmers Market is to bring local seasonal food to market; preserve small family farms; promote healthy eating; build community; and attract visitors to historic Saugerties. The market also welcomes all local non-profits or those who are working locally except religious and political/electoral organizations. They should apply to the Market Manager: [email protected].
