Lynchburg Grows is a nonprofit urban farm. We have an on-site Farm Store open every Thursday, 9am to 1pm, throughout the growing season and a 200-member CSA program. Whether customers shop at the Farm Store or join the CSA, they can choose from all the produce we grow on the farm, plus some from other local farmers, along with fruit from local orchards, local eggs, and specialty items like cheese, honey, or pasta from local food artisans. A scholarship fund makes CSA memberships available to people who need financial help to join. We also run a produce prescription program in partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension, called FreshRx, which provides nutrition and cooking education along with free produce. We also donate produce to other area organizations working to help meet basic needs in the community.
