Charlottesville's Grand Illumination features performances from multiple acts on stage at the Ting Pavilion, activities for kids, a market area, an appearance of Santa Claus, and the lighting of the tree on the Downtown Mall. The event brings 3,500 people from across the region to participate. Vendors are setup in the market area on 7th Street by one of the entrances to the event. There is a flat fee of $20.00 for a space at the event. Vehicle spaces are reserved for food trucks. Electricity is available but limited.
