Each Thursday, May through October Island Park in downtown Mt. Pleasant plays host to the Mt. Pleasant Farmers' Market. The market is located at the South Picnic Shelter.

Mt. Pleasant Farmers' Market is an outdoor, seasonal market that features fresh produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, unique handmade craft items, meat, honey and more. The market is coordinated by the City of Mt. Pleasant Parks & Recreation Department. A Certified Market Manager oversees the market with the assistance of a dedicated Farmers Market Program Assistant.
