Fishawack Festival Chatham’s Cultural Heritage Event

For centuries Chatham has provided a welcome stop for travelers and merchants along the Fishawack the Lenni Lenape Indian’s term for the Passaic River. In 1971, Chatham’s Chamber of Commerce spun that idea into a lively downtown festival, a tradition that’s since evolved into an area-wide, annual celebration of our friendship, charm and community pride.
