The Columbus Farmers Market was established in 2018 as part of a communitywide healthy living campaign that also includes a container garden program for shut-in and disabled residents and a community garden which features a sharing pantry. The market has grown from five vendors to anywhere from ten to eighteen that exhibit on a regular basis. Products offered include fresh produce and berries; homemade jams and jellies; baked goods including pies, cinnamon rolls, yeast and quick breads, cookies, noodles, and gluten-free and sugar-free baked goods; locally produced meats including grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and free-range chicken; honey and various bee products; plants and dried herbs; fresh flowers, soaps and candles. Special market events are held about once a month.
The market is located at 202 N. East Avenue, which is directly north of the local NAPA store.
