About
River Street Market is a produce and arts market located in Historic Old Towne Petersburg adjacent to the City's Historic Farmer's Market Building and just underneath the Martin Luther King Jr Bridge. Open every Saturday 9 am to 1 pm April thru October. River Street also holds a Thanksgiving Market just before the holiday and a Christmas market in mid-December. Special events occur monthly such as Sounds of River Street Music Days, Get Fit Petersburg!, Kid's Day, Dog Days of Summer Pet Adoption, River Street Restaurant Week and River Street for the Arts Festival. Live music and prepared foods available most market days. We accept credit, debit and SNAP EBT. River Street also offers matching SNAP dollars!
Located in Historic Old Towne among the cobblestone streets. Adjacent to the City's Historic Farmer's Market Building and just in front of Croakers Spot restaurant.

Cheryl Bursch
Cheryl Bursch is a native of Petersburg. Her and her husband own a home in the city. She also has 2 children that live in the area and help at the market! Cheryl has been with River Street since 2017 and has completed the Market Manager Certification Course provided by VAFMA in 2018. She is also the Southside Director for the Virginia Farmers Market Association and the HCAT Coordinator for the Petersburg Healthy Community Action Team. Stop at the market booth and say "Hi"!
