In 2015, the Petersburg Economic Development Council (PEDC) worked with market organizers and Farragut Farms on a successful USDA Famer's Market Promotion Program grant to grow The Market. With the grant funding, the Market was able to begin advertising, hire part-time staff, and host the first annual SE AK Grower's Conference. PEDC continues to be an active supporter of the summer market in Petersburg. It serves as a great outlet for new and aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages.
