May 16, 2024 - Sept. 19, 2024

OnTheSquareVA Farmers Market is a weekly farmers market located adjacent to Capitol Square, as a part of the Governor's employee engagement initiative - OnTheSquareVA. Managed by RVAg, the market provides mainly government workers with a Friday lunchtime market, although the market is open to the public at large. We carry a wide assortment of local, seasonal produce, fruits & berries, pastured meats, cheeses, baked goods, prepared foods, honey, plants, and a few artisan crafts. We offer a variety of lunch items and provide educational exhibits and demonstrations as well as live music throughout the season.

OnTheSquareVA Farmers Market is open for the 2023 season from May 18th through September 28th. We are open weekly on Thursdays from 11:00am-1:00pm in Richmond, VA. This farmers market is part of a state employee engagement initiative called OnTheSquareVA. The VA Department of General Services, in partnership with RVAg, will be responsible for hosting the farmers market.
