Marketspread Messenger’s free tier is included as part of every activated season or event. Premium plans with support for SMS Texting and custom contacts are available via subscription at any time.
Instructions for enabling this feature are included below.
First, go to Settings->Messenger Plan in your side toolbar. Then select the blue "-> Upgrade Plan" button. Note that this view is also where you can see your current email and texting usage.
This will bring you to a list of all available Messenger Plans as seen below:
Clicking on any plan will expand it to include the plan details. Below is the view of our Starter Plan.
Note that each plan has a Base fee and a Premium Fee. The Base fee is charged every month that you on are the subscription. the Premium fee is only charged on months when you utilize the Premium features. The Base fee covers the cost of your 800 SMS Number that is procured for your account and the storage of your custom contacts. On months where you do not use the Premium features (ex. no SMS Texts sent) you will only be billed the $5 Base fee.
To upgrade to the selected plan simply click the blue "Upgrade" button. This will direct you to the payment signup page. See the example below:
After upgrading the service, the main Settings -> Messenger Plan page will be updated to include:
- Your newly provisioned SMS number
- SMS Signup Widget code to embed on your website
- A Flyer button to download a printable page witih QR code allowing people to easily signup to your mailing list
The main Messenger Plan page will also show all of your payment details from month to month.
