Unique beaded couture fringe bespoke jewelry that merges a modern high end, cutting edge to the traditional seamstress beadwork. All of the tropical color combinations are envisioned by all colors that can be seen in nature by the naked eye mostly on the island of Maui and through meditations. All materials used in the designs are high end gemstones, 14k (solid and gold filled), solid sterling, rose gold, the smallest glass seed beads, Hawaiian Seeds and shells she has found. Customization of solid gold or white gold available upon request. Some customized pieces are hand drawn first & then turned in to 3D fringe jewelry keepsake heirlooms.
Each piece is handmade by the artisan Melanie. She is currently working on a line of leather handbags and belts for men and women out of Italian sheepskin leather hand selected and purchased while traveling in Italy where she searched for the highest grade sheepskin leather. Then she adds embellishment as a hand woven sewn fringe to many of the pieces. This artisans work is unique and one of a kind. Melanie is also about to debut a fringe clothing beach cover up kimono line that matches the style of artisan accessories released under the business name of Miami Swan Designs.

Melanie has been an artist her whole life. Born in Youngstown, Ohio where she received a BFA with emphasis in design. Since the completion of her undergraduate degree, she excelled in fine arts, color correction printing, digital & graphic design. In pursuit of a Masters Degree in Art Therapy, she practiced meditation & became a Yoga Therapist.. This meditative journey led her from Atlantic Beach to Maui Hawaii 17 years ago. Maui Island nourished her life so much that 15 years ago she dove into meditation & creating unique bespoke jewelry that merges a modern high end, cutting edge to the traditional seamstress bead work taught to her by her Slovak & Native American elders. Inspired by traditional Native American prayer ceremony & a yearning to learn more about her tribal ancestral lineage.

Melanie was living on Maui for the last 17 years and because of the recent Fire Tragedies in Lahaina town she has lost much of her business and ability to sustain supporting her life on Maui. She used to live in Atlantic Beach Florida as her parents still do. Now as of December 2023 she is back in Jacksonville as a resident in Avondale.
