About

Love, Coffee and Happy Planet (#lovecoffeehappyplanet)
The Story of Santa Martha started in 2013 when Ken took a trip to Santa Martha, Nicaragua, meeting coffee farmers for the first time. It touched his heart creating Love for how hard coffee pickers worked for $10 a day. He came home knowing he wanted to help change happen.
All of our Coffee beans are traceable back to a farmer who are receiving support and above market value for their green beans. Then Ken or Ruth roasts these beans in a 2 pound fluid bed roaster in Randolph, Mn.
We started purchasing trees to offset carbon in 2017 helping create a more Happy Planet. In 2021 we started using Omnidegradable packaging for our regular bags of coffee.
