About

Navy veterans Cathy and Paul operate and own historic Ditchley Cider Works & Farm. We raise Belted Galloway grass fed/finished cattle, Tamworth pigs, ducks, geese, heritage turkeys, sheep and chickens on 182 acres of regeneratively managed pasture, hay fields and woodlands. Ditchley has been in continuous agriculture production since the 1630s and was placed in a conservation easement in 2018. With 2 commercial kitchens and a mobile food unit, we produce over 25 custom pork, beef and chicken sausages which are nitrite/nitrate and MSG free, and other specialty value added products. All animals on the farm are antibiotic and hormone free. We also planted over 2,000 heritage cider apple trees in 2015 providing apples for our Hard Apple Cider which is produced and bottled on the farm. Voted Best Cidery in the eastern region of Virginia 3 years in a row by Virginia Living Magazine. Also certified as Home Grown by Heroes.
