We are a small, family owned and operated regenerative livestock farm near Scio, OR. We raise animals naturally outdoors on no spray pasture that we are converting from conventionally farmed crop land with the help of our animals. We move the animals regularly to let their manure naturally fertilize our pasture and to let the pasture flora recuperate. Right now we raise chickens to fertilize the grass of our pasture and pigs to clear invasive blackberries in our mixed-species forest. We will be adding ruminants after our pasture is healthy enough to sustain grass-fed animals.
For pigs and chickens that need supplemental feed we use a locally-sourced, corn- and soy-free, non-GMO feed mix. We use no hormones and no antibiotics. We spray no chemicals on our pasture other than occasional applications of lime; our grass is 100% fertilized by our own animals' natural manure. We support local Oregon vendors whenever possible.

We are the co-owners of Anchor Ranch Farm where we live and farm on the banks of Thomas Creek with our young son Lars and new baby expected May 2019. With pasture-raised livestock, moved often to disperse manure and give pasture plants time to grow, we are regenerating depleted soils and clearing invasive plants without the use of chemical sprays. We moved to Oregon in 2015 after many years of saving to buy farm land close to family and working on organic farms.
