Wild Solace

Wild Solace sits at the intersection of landscape photography and hand-built mixed media. My foundation is my original landscape photography, shot with intention and printed on archival fine art papers including Hahnemühle Photo Rag and handmade cotton rag. The images themselves are placeless on purpose, meant to feel less like documentary and more like a memory you half recognize.
From there, the work moves into my Gathered Works, mixed media assemblies built on antique album pages nearly 100 years old, layered with my photography, dried botanicals, hand stained wood, and found objects. No two are alike, and they cannot be reproduced. My hand embroidered pieces take this further, with simple stitches in muted, earthy threads worked directly onto photographs and handmade paper.
What customers take home is something that holds quiet. The work is meant to be lived with, to evolve in meaning over time, and to feel personal rather than decorative.
