Seeds and Spores Family Farm is located in Chocolay Township, 12 miles south of Marquette. We have been farming in the Upper Peninsula for twenty-seven years. Since the beginning of our farming adventure, we have been dedicated to producing "beyond organic" high quality agricultural products for the local community. Our diverse farm includes four acres of produce, 12 hoop houses, medicinal herb gardens, a herd of exclusively grassfed beef, pasture raised heritage breed hogs, and shiitake mushrooms. The farm is equipped with a certified kitchen for processing farm goods and herbal medicines.
We are a small scale organic permaculture farm utilizing integrative and regenerative practices. Our primary product is organically produced eggs that are free of soy/corn. We also grow produce, berries and many varieties of medicinal plants/herbs. We raise broiler chickens, turkeys, sheep and pigs. The sheep wool is used by Libby to make felted garments. Our farm is also an educational farm and Randy teaches about permaculture and animal harvesting/processing, including charcuterie.

Traunik Farm is a Certified Naturally Grown veggie farm starting it's 4th year. Owned by my wife Erika and I. We own 40 acres in Traunik and lease 1 acre of land from the MSU Northfarm in Chatham as part of the Farm Business Incubator program. We currently grow, wash, pack and store most of our our produce at The Northfarm. We have been developing the needed infrastructure on our own land over the last 3 years to be prepared to move the operation here at the end of this season which is our last one in the program.

We have a very unique existence living in the U.P. of Michigan, and her artwork reflects the slow living, connection with nature, and old-time feel that she gets from her home in the U.P.
