Hi! I've been baking croissants from scratch since 2016, ever since I tried one for the first time I felt in love and wanted to recreate it at home for friends and family. Recently I was gifted a hand-me-down kitchen aid, allowing me to bake croissants in bulk! I wish to share these with my neighbors and it makes me extremely happy to share my baked goods with others. I've been working on incorporating local ingredients to my recipe, I also try to be as waste-free as possible and avoid the use of plastic. Croissants are a delicious way to start the day and I hope to share that with others.

My name is Carola Acosta, I am 27 years old and was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I currently reside in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. After the Hurricane Maria in 2017 I had a job opportunity in Virginia and I have stayed here ever since. I started baking croissants in Puerto Rico back in 2016 after I traveled to a French island in the lower Antilles and I tried a croissant for breakfast there one morning. I became obsessed. Because of the hot climate in Puerto Rico I would use ice and a fan to keep my kitchen cool so the butter wouldn't melt! My hobbies include baking, cooking traditional Puerto Rican foods, spending time with my loved ones, and taking care of my orchid plant collection.
