Split Swim

For two world-traveling, Tampa-born women, swimwear is a love language, but we both struggled finding flattering suits for our tall, uniquely shaped bodies. We were tired of constantly adjusting and pulling to get the perfect fit, so we decided to make our own pieces. Our vision is to take the pain out of the swimwear shopping process for every human that doesn’t fit the industry standard.

For our first ever meeting to discuss what our brand would be, we met at a popular Downtown Tampa area and locked eyes on a local restaurant with the word “Split” in the name. We realized that, not only did it help encompass Tampa, but the word split is also two halves of a whole, just like the two of us. For two people that are so similar and yet so different, we needed a name that encompassed our identities and our origin, and so Split//Swim was born.
