Telecommunications Access Iowa

Telecommunications Access Iowa (TAI) is a statewide program under the Iowa Utilities Board which makes telecommunications access easy and affordable for Iowans who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech difficulty. Often those with hearing loss or speech difficulties do not realize the resource we can offer them to assist with telecommunications. TAI offers vouchers that pay up to 95% to 99% of the cost of specialized telecommunications equipment & wireless devices to those who qualify. With these vouchers, the recipients pay little or no cost out-of-pocket for the device.
