Iowa Native, Inc purchases Aronia berries from an Aronia Farmer near Ames and processes the berries into powder using dehydrators. The powder is then blended with locally sourced other herbs to make Aronia blends, such as herbal blend coffee (with chicory root), 3 1/2 minute steel cut oats, also with ginger roots, pomegranate, barley grass, dandelion roots, green tea, turmeric roots and more. Seven different products. Five of the blends are meant to be drunk as a beverage mixed with fruit juice, as a smoothie, or with chocolate almond milk. The Aronia berry 4:1 is ideal for baked goods and adding to applesauce.
