About

Modern handmade jewelry with a purpose. We are a social entrepreneurship company dedicated to giving back in various ways such as advocating Alzheimer's Disease Awareness, promoting an ever-growing STEM field to young women and by incorporating sustainability throughout our design process. Our primary material is raw brass which is an eco-friendly and natural metal that can be maintained The brand was launched on February 27, 2019 to help off-set growing home-care costs for the founder's grandmother who battled with Alzheimer's disease for 7+ years.

Concrete is grounded, imperfect, solid, typically unwavering under heavy pressure. It is also a commonly used building material for modern architecture. On the contrary, Polished is refined and described as the vivid and glowing appearance you get when an object is rubbed or buffed, the finishing touch, the appeal, the shiny surface. Almost as if the more you're tested with & the heavier the weight, the brighter you'll shine when you overcome. By combining the words, the founder is sending a message of resiliency.

Manager

Brittney Mayes, Founder + Designer
After earning a Master's Degree in Construction Management, the founder added her expertise in Visual Communications, extensive background in Retail Management and love for art and architecture, to create a brand that is both visually appealing and representative of her personal aesthetic. The collection utilizes carefully selected eco-friendly and sustainable materials such as raw brass, stainless steel, wood, rubber and glass.

Her intent for designing jewelry is to erase the lines and conform parallelism between art, science and everyday life. The idea of selling handmade modern jewelry to help raise funding and bring awareness to the disease led to the creation of THE PC FOUNDATION, which the designer will use as a branded platform to help create better living environments for Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers through construction and design.
